The Canadian Heart Association’s ACLS for Dental Professionals program integrates the BLS skills with the advanced knowledge needed to participate in or manage a resuscitation event effectively in your dental practice. The program emphasizes the importance of effective patient monitoring, preventing cardiac arrest, early and continuous, high-quality CPR, and high-performing teams. The course reflects science and education from the 2020 International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The program’s material and scenarios are based in the dental world, and the course requirements have been adjusted for the dental environment.
The Canadian Heart Association’s ACLS For Dental Professionals program is designed for Dentists & Healthcare Professionals who work in a Dental Environment. This can include but is not limited to Dentists, Dental Assistants, Dental Hygienists, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and others who need to apply the ACLS medical knowledge and skills in a dental environment.
What Will You Learn During The ACLS Program?
You will…
During the Canadian Heart Association’s ACLS For Dental Professionals program, you will be given access to an integrated online evaluation system. It is through the use of this system that you will be evaluated. Evaluation happens in real-time with the program. You can access the system using your own smartphone or use one of our loaner iPads. Free wifi will be provided at the course. Through the use of this interactive evaluation system, we can guarantee that you will successfully complete the program and earn your ACLS Provider Certificate. The Canadian Heart Association doesn’t use the MEGA-CODE Evaluation system.
