The Canadian Heart Association’s PALS for Dental Professionals program integrates the BLS skills with the advanced knowledge needed to participate in or manage a pediatric resuscitation event effectively in your dental practice. The program emphasizes the importance of effective patient monitoring, early and continuous, high-quality CPR, and high-performing teams. The course reflects science and education from the 2020 International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The program’s material and scenarios are based in the pediatric dental world, and the course requirements have been adjusted for the pediatric dental environment.
The Canadian Heart Association’s PALS For Dental Professionals program is designed for Dentists & Healthcare Professionals who work in a Dental Environment with pediatric patients. This can include but is not limited to Dentists, Dental Assistants, Dental Hygienists, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and others who need to apply the PALS medical knowledge and skills in a dental environment.
